Zoomie uses Cognitive Theory

Zoomie had just graduated from the HCDE program and was frantically putting together his online portfolio so he could get a job and start putting his world-class human-centered design knowledge into practice. He had a variety of projects he wanted to showcase, but didn't want his portfolio to overwhelm the potential employers that visited his site.

Zoomie vaguely remembered some bits and pieces of Cognitive Theory, and decided to design his portfolio site using some basic cognitivist principles. The first principle he decided to apply was George Miller's short term memory theory - naturally! What an easy one to apply! Zoomie applied this across his entire portfolio, and never used more than 7+-2 colors, 7+-2 fonts, 7+-2 menu items, 7+-2 bullets in any lists, 7+-2 pages on his site, and 7+-2 pieces of work in his portfolio. After finally finishing his site, he sat back and waited for the job offers to roll in, knowing his grasp of Cognitive Theory was water-tight.
